The Jubilee year of hope is well underway. Last week Bishop Coll issued a programme of everts for the Jubilee in the Diocese of Ossory.

More locally in our own parish it is important that we have an opportunity to join with all our sisters and brothers in the Church throughout the world in celebrating the Jubilee year. Many people will not have the opportunity or be able to travel to Rome or other pilgrimage sites so here in St Patrick's Parish you can undertake your own Little pilgrimage as a means of praying for the much needed gift of Christian Hope for yourself and those who are close to you and for the Church and the world
How can I join this little Pilgrimage of hope you may ask?
It is very simple! You can visit any of the Churches in our Parish and using the leaflet provided make your way around various sacred points in the Church praying at each one. The pilgrimage begins at the door of the Church moving to the Candle of Hope then to the Baptism font, on to the Taize Cross where you can place any petitions, the Ambo, Altar Tabernacle and conduding before the statue / image of Our Lady. All this movement is accompanied by prayers which are contained in the leaflet. It is a very simple format, that doesn't take too long and can be repeated any time you visit our Churches during the Jubilee Year.
There will be other initiative's during the year but this will get us off to a good start!
